Sodier by Erykah Badu

Songs like this, I feel like the beat/rhythm instruments basically write the song for you, once you've got them in place. I.e. you couldn't really go wrong with that backing. I forget what popular song Erykah Badu had done in the past, but this one is very recent.

Hurry On Now by Alice Russel

Mmm, bitter-sweety. That's a lot of soul for a white girl. I've listened to other songs by Alice Russel and none of them were nearly as moving as this one, to me.

Spaz by N.E.R.D.

I heard this song first on a commercial for Microsoft's Zune mp3 player. The beat for the first bit is the best - once the vocals start, it goes to more of a straight beat that doesn't do that much for me. I'm contemplating sampling and rapping over the beat as it is at the start.

Radiohead Performing The Rip

Radiohead doing a cover of a Portishead song, The Rip. I ran across this on Radiohead's webpage. Unfortunately I don't think there are any recordings available other than this video. A very nice melody, which matches to Thom Yorke's voice very nicely.
